A cross-border obstacles and people-to-people cooperation oriented project

InterregGov –supports stronger cooperation governance across European border regions through the implementation of Interreg Specific Objective 1 (ISO1) – Better Cooperation Governance with a particular focus on cross-border obstacles and people-to-people cooperation

Targeting the Interreg cross-border programmes

Many cross-border cooperation (CBC) programmes already promote initiatives in areas with strong cross-border relevance under ISO1. Nevertheless, many face challenges related to implementation experience, capacity limitations, long-term stakeholder engagement, and translating governance cooperation into practical actions.

That’s where the InterregGov comes in! By supporting the Interreg CBC programmes across the European Union and neighbouring countries — Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Andorra — in implementing ISO1, this project aims at challenging the implementation and capacity limitations.
